What to do before a spider spray

  • Remove all clean laundry off the line;
  • Cover/remove any edibles (i.e. fruit bowls);
  • Cover/remove any children's toys;
  • Put toothbrushes in draws or cupboard;
  • Put away all clean dishes;
  • Where possible, remove pets from the premises. Cover fish tanks/bowls and turn off filters;
  • Empty and remove pet bowls; and
  • Prepare to leave the house for two hours.

What to do after a spider spray

  • If internal treatment was carried out, open all doors/windows;
  • Wipe down kitchen benches and any food-related items;
  • Avoid cleaning windows or removing webs for as long as possible;
  • Do not hose down the building, this will wash away the chemical barrier;
  • Avoid unnecceasry lighting outside (attracts bugs = spiders);
  • Keep insect screens in good condition;
  • When next painting, fill all gaps and holes with gap filler; and
  • Wash any herbs or vegeables taken from the garden prior to consumtion.
